"The Basics" CrossFit Class

We are thrilled that you have chosen to join us! If you are new to CrossFit, this class is required before you can safely and confidently complete the WOD (Workout of the Day). It consists of 4 - 1 hour sessions of no more than 4 people so that you get the utmost in personal instruction as you learn and practice the correct form for the 9 core movements we use the most in our training sessions. You will complete a short WOD after each skill session utilizing what was just practiced.

Session 1: We will introduce you to the gymnastics movements: air squats, pullups, pushups and their variations.

Session 2: Adding some weight: Shoulder Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, Thruster and Kettlebells.

Session 3: More complex skills: Deadlifts and Sumo Deadlift High-pulls, and Wall balls.

Session 4: Even more complex skills: Ball Cleans, Bar and Dumbbell Cleans, and Snatches.


"WOD" Workout of the Day

This the training session where it all happens! You will participate in an intense, functional and constantly varied workout with a group of people who will be feeling the same emotions you are: butterflies in the stomach, sweaty palms, excitement and anticipation. Besides completing a workout which tests your mental and physical abilities EVERY TIME, the reason you and everyone else will keep coming back has alot to do with what unfolds during the workout; the support and encouragement and cheering from the people around you who share your pain. And when you increase your time or your number of rounds from the last time you did that particular workout ............ the feeling is almost unmatched.

Each WOD will begin with a dynamic warm-up and finish with guided stretching as a cool down.

We are dedicated to you and want you to succeed, so know that if you don't show up when you have a session scheduled , you will be called!

You must schedule the days and times you want to come in and do your WOD's so that we can plan an efficient workout for you and everyone else who will be joining you.
